So Much News...
So little time...
Have to bleat about the first 100 days of hopenchange enchantment before the swine flu gobbles up all the news oxygen.
My take: nice family, cute dog. Other than that pretty much a miserable failure except where he continued Bush policies. Credit where due however, he did outright de-prioritize that horrendous, and Orwellian named, Freedom of Choice Act, pissing off abortion fans everywhere.
Anyway, about the first hundred days, polling indicates we are still deeply ensconced in the honeymoon phase. Hard to argue. George Bush had slightly better numbers at the same period in 2000, which, when you think about it, is pretty amazing considering he came off a historically close and hotly contested election while Obama won handily. Funny no pundits are pointing this out.
The handmaiden media, and many devoted followers, are so invested in his success he could legalize torture, outlaw abortion, start 2 more wars, and declare all cabinet members tax exempt, wait a minute didn't he already do that?, well, only in practice not in law. All this, and the only reaction we conservatives might get for criticism is accusations of racism. Fine.
So knowing this I'm just going to rely on stats to make the argument.
Number 1
wherein you'll notice a more than slight increase in our debt from 2001 projected to 2019.
Number 2: For those of you prefer upward trends...

yeah, yeah, yeah, it all started under Bush, but notice how the upward trend starts in 2006, when Democrats took congress.....Coincidence? I think not.
Number 3: Deficit and debt are NOT the same thing remember...

Number 4:

Not to worry though folks. All polling shows increased numbers believe we are now on the right track!
Number 5: Let's not forget another economic indicator,Dow Jones industrial Average, this chart covering time period from when it was apparent Obama was going to clinch the Dem primary to present.

Granted, it's been removing lately but it is still off nearly 40%.
So here's the bottom line on the first hundred days.
Domestically
Lot's of sham but damn little wow.
and in foreign policy:

There ya go.
