Seems self-appointed arbiter of justice SHARPTON VOWS TO CLOSE 'NEW YORK CITY' because the case against the cops for shooting that black guy wasn't strong enough to get a conviction. All 3 cops were acquitted.
Never mind the facts in the case, (hey they didn't matter for O.J. so why should they matter here? but consistency has never bee Al's strong suit) and be sure to never mind 2 of the cops were black and the 3rd Hispanic.
One effect of the rise of Obama I have been looking forward to is to see how the old black guard will respond. Looks like Al can't help himself...but he certainly doesn't seem to care if he helps Obama. If there's a camera nearby history be damned!
The problem with Obama coming along and transcending race is that it puts race hustlers like Sharpton and Jackson out of work. They need racism to stay relevant so Obama is their worst nightmare.
I'm eating nightcrawlers (baiting my breath) in anticipation of Obama's response. Could be a shining moment, the perfect opportunity to actualize some transcendence, or fall in line with the old guard. Either way we'll get a chance to see what he's made of. It's sure been a tough run for the Junior, and I mean that in the most literal sense, Senator from Illinois lately. I might actually feel sorry for the guy if he wasn't such a lightweight.
For all the damage I really believe an Obama Presidency might bring the demise of the Sharptons of the world is a prospect that is well, actually hopeful.
